Ruling principles
Build a resilient timeline.
The winning habit is to preserve options. Court rulings, missions, purchases and relationships draw from the same limited pool of time, money and available Knights.
01Plan by deadline
Start with anything that expires. Keep flexible quests behind urgent missions, and reserve the rare Knight profile before a routine assignment removes it from the table. This prevents a small early reward from blocking a main objective later in the cycle.
02Spend on a known gap
Equipment, potions, horses and annex services are preparation, not automatic progress. Buy when an item or service covers a demonstrated mission weakness, then leave enough Treasury for an emergency ruling or a second Knight who also needs support.
03Compare total consequences
A successful quest can still produce a fragile kingdom. After every debrief, compare faction support, Treasury, roster availability and future routes together. If a rewind saves one outcome but creates two larger problems, the original branch may still be stronger.
