Each quest tests a different skill set. Read Strength, Agility, Charisma, Magic and Wit together with the mission keywords and the Knight's preferences; do not treat a single total score as a complete answer.
What each stat signals
| Stat | What to look for | Assignment check |
|---|---|---|
| Strength | Force, carrying, direct physical obstacles | Prefer physical capability when the quest clearly calls for it |
| Agility | Speed, movement, precision and evasive work | Check whether time or mobility is central to the mission |
| Charisma | Persuasion, diplomacy and social pressure | Use for people-facing outcomes where force creates a cost |
| Magic | Supernatural threats and mystical solutions | Do not assume Magic replaces every other requirement |
| Wit | Investigation, planning and unusual solutions | Use when the problem rewards knowledge or lateral thinking |
Run the four-pass assignment check
Mark the mission's strongest explicit attribute requirement.
Underline keywords that may interact with a Knight's likes, fears or other traits.
Compare the top two candidates after equipment, potions and current condition are considered.
Choose the candidate whose absence creates the smallest risk across the remaining timed quests.
If the obvious match fails
Read the debrief for the failed dimension or unexpected interaction. Change one meaningful variable on the next attempt—Knight, equipment, preparation or timing—so the result teaches you which assumption was wrong.
